SUMMARY:“Steps”—Redirecting a Historic Path to Spiritual Transformation
DESCRIPTION:Join Museum of the Bible for a special event with pastor\, psychologist\, and author John Ortberg\, founder of the online spiritual formation ministry Become New. Drawing from his book Steps\, John will explore how the historic Twelve Steps—originally rooted in Christian practice and later adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous—offer a time-tested pathway for spiritual growth for every follower of Jesus\, not just those facing addiction. \nFor generations\, the church helped shape this transformative framework. Now\, John argues\, it is time for the church to reclaim it. \n“AA got the 12 steps from the church. And now the church needs to take them back.”\n— John Ortberg \nIn this engaging and practical session\, John will guide attendees through the heart of the Twelve Steps and demonstrate how humility\, surrender\, community\, and daily reliance on God can open a deeper experience of grace. With the pastoral warmth\, psychological insight\, and accessible teaching style that have shaped his decades of ministry\, John will help you see why Steps is poised to become a significant discipleship tool for our cultural moment. \nWhether you are exploring faith\, leading others\, or seeking renewal in your spiritual life\, this event will offer a compelling invitation to walk a proven\, hope-filled path of transformation. \n  \nAll attendees will receive a free copy of Steps at the event. \nReserve your place today for an evening designed to encourage\, equip\, and inspire.

SUMMARY:Everyday Faithfulness
DESCRIPTION:What is everyday faithfulness? Is it something we can achieve in this life? As believers in Jesus\, we are called to a life of faithfulness to Him. And there’s good news: God is invested in our faithfulness\, He has equipped us for it\, and He will faithfully finish the good work He began when He made us alive in Christ. \nOn March 6-7\, Glenna Marshall will walk us through portions of Hebrews to define faithfulness and explore the means of grace God has provided for our perseverance. The Christian life is not glamorous\, nor is it a quick path to spiritual growth\, but when we fix our gaze on Jesus\, our ordinary\, daily faithfulness produces a life of extraordinary faith. \nThe theme verse for the conference is Hebrews 10:23:\n“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering\, for he who promised is faithful.” \nWith 3 teaching sessions from Glenna Marshall\, worship and music with Jessa Anderson\, and various breakout sessions\, this weekend will be a great time of encouragement\, teaching\, and fellowship.

SUMMARY:Men’s Summit: From Hiding to Healing
DESCRIPTION:Join us March 23 to hear from author\, speaker and pastor Craig Brown on “From Hiding to Healing.”\nFor many\, emotional pain is a part of life. For some\, it is a bump in the road\, but often it has a devastating impact\, causing missed opportunities\, broken relationships\, and even addiction. Craig will present engaging stories of redemption which will inspire even those in the most seemingly hopeless situations. His experience helping thousands of men through Christ Centered recovery will help all of us be set free from the pain\, shame and guilt of our pasts so we can live a life of freedom\, meaning and purpose. \nCraig is the author of Stop Hiding Start Healing\, and will discuss how to uncover the root cause of our pain and shame while finding freedom from pornography\, alcohol\, food\, anger\, depression\, anxiety\, codependency\, prescription meds\, drugs\, grief and isolation – some of the very things we use to hide instead of heal though God’s mercy and grace. \nEven if you are not currently struggling we all know others who are and Craig’s message will also encourage and equip us to help those around us to be set free. \nThere will also be a Q&A time after the message. \nRegistration \nYou can join us for dinner (6:30pm – $15) or just register for the event (7:30pm – free).

SUMMARY:What Am I Doing Here? Rediscovering Purpose and Joy in Your Work
DESCRIPTION:What am I doing here? What steps can I take when at times I feel tempted to despair about my work? How will I be able to continue to do the work I love in a culture of such fracture\, polarization and contempt that only seems to be intensifying? At a time when finding joy in what we do seems so distant\, and resilience in such a challenging moment appears virtually impossible to create\, it turns out that there is more hope to be found than you might suspect. \nJoin us THIS FRIDAY as board certified psychiatrist\, author\, and speaker Curt Thompson\, MD\, provides practical ways of discerning what it means to faithfully live out the vocational callings that perhaps for many of us feel so overwhelming.
