SUMMARY:What Does Jesus Have to Say About _______?
DESCRIPTION:Learn to speak with the courage\, conviction\, and compassion of Christ in a culture of silence and shouting.\n\n\n\nIn a divided society enmeshed in seemingly endless culture wars\, followers of Jesus often feel like we have only two options: silence or shouting. But when it comes to the most significant spiritual and moral crises of our day\, might not the Gospel call us to something more? And what if this Christlike engagement proved to be a catalyst for healing\, civility\, grace\, hope\, and truth in our deeply unstable world? \nIn this five-week series of public forums\, Rev. Dr. John Frederick will engage in live\, in-person dialogues with guest presenters from across the Metro-DC region to discuss what Jesus has to say about: culture\, violence\, other religions\, speech\, and politics. Join us as we learn from Jesus to speak like Jesus.

SUMMARY:21 Martyrs: Knelt but Not Broken
DESCRIPTION:Coptic Orphans\, in partnership with Museum of the Bible\, is organizing this one-of-a-kind cinematic experience to honor 21 ordinary men from Egypt who made an extraordinary choice: when asked to deny Christ or face a brutal death\, they chose faith. Their story has reverberated across the globe\, inspiring millions and becoming a symbol of modern-day martyrdom.\nThis event invites you to explore the foundations of the early church as seen through the lived witness of today’s Coptic community of Egypt. \nSpecial Guest: Jonathan Roumie\, beloved for his portrayal of Jesus in The Chosen\, will be joining us in person to share his experience producing The 21 film and meeting the families of the martyrs during his recent trip to Egypt. \nDinner Honoree: His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan will join the dinner portion of the evening\, where he will be honored with the Coptic Orphans’ Leading by Example Award in recognition of his longstanding service and impact on the church nationally and globally. \nThis immersive three-part experience includes a walk-through display tracing the heritage of the Coptic people and the story of the 21 martyrs; a seated theater screening of The 21animated film\, with live remarks from Jonathan Roumie\, the producers\, and a martyr’s relative; and a plated dinner featuring a Q&A with Roumie and the presentation of the award to Cardinal Dolan. \nThe dress code for the evening is cocktail attire.

SUMMARY:"Jewish Roots of American Liberty" Book Launch
DESCRIPTION:Jewish Roots of American Liberty\, co-edited by Wilfred McClay and Stuart Halpern\, illustrates how the free institutions that Americans value so much are grounded in Jewish antecedents. Please join us at an event celebrating the publication of this important work featuring its two editors and one of the contributors. Collectively\, their presentations will highlight Hebraic contributions to American liberty and our nation’s experiment in constitutional self-government. \nAttendance to the event is free\, but registration is required. A general admission ticket to the museum is required to attend. \n  \n
