Shabbat Dinner

February 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Institute on Religion and Democracy
We are pleased to invite you to join us for a traditional Jewish Shabbat dinner on Friday, February 13th at 6:30pm. We are excited to gather Jewish and Christian professionals together to experience the Jewish Sabbath! Shabbat dinner is hosted every week by Jewish communities around the world, who gather for the first meal of the Jewish day of rest, which begins every week at sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday.

Alexander Raikin, Jewish writer and visiting Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, will lead traditional blessings in Hebrew with explanations in English.

For more information about what you can expect at a Shabbat dinner, please feel free to explore the information at this link. Please also take a look at Simone Rizkallah’s reflections on the Sabbath.
