Singles Retreat 2026: Calling and Community

April 11 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
DC Singles Retreat

Join us for The District Church’s first Singles Retreat!

Singleness can be a season of great purpose, whether you want to get married or not. But it hasn’t always been treated that way — in the world or even in the church.

As Christians, we’re called to counter-cultural living: to become more like Jesus and obey his calling for us as individuals and as his church. What does that look like specifically for Christians who are single?

For those who desire marriage, how do we wait well? For those pursuing a relationship, how do we date in a way that demonstrates Christ, whether or not the other person turns out to be “the one”? What does singleness look like if we’re parents or if we’re called to intentional lifelong celibacy? And regardless of whether we’re single now or single forever, how do we work together with each other and with married couples to build a community that shines brightly as a light in the world — and as the bride of Christ?

Join us for a day of learning, discussion, prayer, and community building around these topics at the Franciscan Monastery on Saturday, April 11, from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. This event is intended for members of The District Church, with content best suited for mid-20s and up. Everyone who is not married – whether completely single, dating, or engaged – is welcome. Note that this is NOT a social mixer, although there will be time to fellowship with other singles. (And if anyone does end up meeting their spouse, we’ll celebrate it!)

Registration is limited, so save your spot now! There is a participation fee of $20 per person to help cover venue, food, and supplies for the day, but please reach out if you need financial support to attend. Free childcare is available; please indicate in your registration if needed.
